Individual and Couples Therapy

In-person in Mullumbimby and Online

ABOUT THERAPY

Therapy with me begins with careful listening. I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer feel workable. Some people come with anxiety or depression. Others come with relationship distress, intimacy difficulties, or a sense of emotional confusion that is difficult to name.

I have a particular clinical interest and expertise in limerence and intense attachment patterns.

Therapy is not about quick fixes or prescriptive advice. It is a collaborative process in which we slow things down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and work toward greater clarity, steadiness, and choice.

HOW I WORK

My approach is relational and integrative. I draw on psychological theory and evidence based approaches including attachment focused work, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive and behavioural strategies, psychodynamic understanding, and somatic awareness. These are not applied as techniques to be followed, but adapted to your pace, history, and needs.

I am interested in patterns rather than diagnoses, and in how emotional experience and relationships shape one another over time. My aim is to create a space that supports both safety and understanding, without pressure to move faster than feels manageable.

This work is focused on understanding rather than fixing, and on developing greater capacity to relate to yourself and others with clarity, intention, and care.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy offers a space to slow down and understand what is happening internally and in your relationships.

People seek therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, self criticism, emotional overwhelm, or patterns of attachment such as limerence. You may feel caught in ways of thinking or relating that no longer feel manageable or aligned with how you want to live.

My work is reflective and depth oriented. Rather than focusing on symptom reduction alone, we attend to the emotional patterns and relational dynamics that shape your experience. Sessions are collaborative and carefully paced, with attention to both insight and emotional safety.

COUPLES THERAPY

In couples therapy, the relationship itself becomes the focus. Rather than assigning blame, we look at the patterns that develop between you and how these are shaped by attachment needs, emotional responses, and communication habits.

I work with couples around conflict, disconnection, intimacy concerns, trust, and repeated cycles that feel difficult to shift. The aim is to develop greater understanding, emotional safety, and responsiveness within the relationship.
